How we review and correct pages
The site operator is Pete Callaghan. Automated tests check calculations. Source checks confirm what a reference covers. The initial catalogue is live with operator approval. Independent editorial and specialist reviews are still outstanding.
For a calculator to be marked reviewed, its record must explain the task it helps with and include checked sources, calculation tests and a human editorial review. Material guidance also needs a qualified reviewer. Each review records the person, date, scope and evidence. Changes to content, templates or calculations require a new sign-off.
We use references from standards bodies, university extension services and suppliers. Supplier figures apply to the named product and conditions. The dates beside sources show when we checked them. A density, recommended depth or blend recipe must have its own source and review before we add it.
AI helps with drafting and illustrations. Automated tests check the formulas and unit conversions. Project stories, photos and qualifications need evidence, and we name reviewers only after they have reviewed the content. No specialist review or first-hand project experience is claimed for this catalogue.
Include the page, units, inputs and expected result in a correction report. The operator checks the report against the calculation and its references. A fix must be recorded and the affected tests rerun. The public change log records changes without sharing private report details.
Paid placements and affiliate links are disclosed where they appear. Payment for a placement does not count as a review or change the calculations.
