YARDFILL GUIDES & INFORMATION

Gravel cubic yards to US short tons.

Convert gravel volume into estimated weight using your supplier’s density.

Enter your quantities to see the conversion.

How the conversion works

US short tons = cubic yards × 27 × density in lb/ft³ ÷ 2,000

There is no single gravel weight per cubic yard. Ask your supplier for the bulk density of the specific product. Moisture, grading and packing affect actual weight.
